The Centre for International Political Economy (CIPE), In collaboration with Christian University of Indonesia (UKI), is proud to present the Young Economic Forum in Jakarta, Indonesia. This forum will unite emerging scholars, students, young leaders, economists, and policy-makers to address pressing global and regional economic challenges. Focusing on globalization, digital transformation, and economic inequalities, the forum aims to foster dialogue, build networks, and inspire sustainable, inclusive solutions, empowering young professionals to shape the future of the global economy.

1. Global Economic Trends and Future Challenges
This module will examine current global economic trends, including the impacts of technological advancements, climate change, and geopolitical shifts. Participants will engage in discussions on how these factors influence economic policies and the global market, preparing them to anticipate and navigate future economic challenges.
2. Digital Economy and Innovation
Focusing on the transformative power of digital technology, this module will explore how innovation is reshaping industries, creating new markets, and altering traditional economic models. Young Economic Forum (YEF) - Indonesia FAQs & Funding Details

1. What is the Young Economic Forum (YEF)?

The Young Economic Forum (YEF) is an international event that brings together young professionals, economists, and policy-makers to discuss key economic challenges and opportunities. The Indonesia edition aims to empower the next generation of leaders through discussions on globalization, regional dynamics, and sustainable economic development.

2. Who can attend YEF Indonesia?

YEF is open to young professionals, students, and emerging leaders in economics, public policy, and related fields. Individuals aged 16 to 45 with an interest in economic development and policy-making are encouraged to apply.

3. What is the participation fee for YEF?

The participation fee for YEF Indonesia is $15 USD, non-refundable and non-transferable. If you’re not selected for a funded spot or unable to attend as a self-funded participant, you’ll have the option to enroll in our exclusive 8-10 week virtual programs. These programs cover topics like public diplomacy, global identities, and economic relations and are valued at over $300 USD. They provide a rich learning experience, offering insights into various disciplines taught by young scholars.

4. How can I apply for fully funded or partially funded opportunities?

During the application process, indicate your interest in receiving funding. Applicants must submit supporting documents that align with the summit’s goals. Funded positions are awarded based on merit and commitment to public development and economic policy.

5. Is financial assistance or scholarships available for participants?

Yes, YEF offers financial support, including 5 fully funded slots that cover all forum-related expenses (merchandise, meals, accommodation, travel support and all other perks). Additionally, 15 partially funded slots covering 50% of the participation fee are available. One outstanding participant will be named “Ideal Candidate” and will receive an honorary award from the Dean UKI.

6. How can I apply to participate in YEF Indonesia?

You can apply through the official YEF Indonesia website by submitting a CV and statement of interest. Shortlisted candidates may be asked to participate in an interview as part of the selection process.

7. Will I receive a certificate for attending YEF?

Yes, participants who engage in the forum sessions will receive an official certificate of participation.

8. What networking opportunities are available at YEF?

YEF Indonesia offers multiple opportunities for networking, including panel discussions, interactive sessions, and social events. These platforms are designed to facilitate connections among participants, experts, and policy-makers from around the world.

9. How will the event be conducted?
